Bet Opening Times is an information site, not a bookmaker. We never see your betting account, payments or bets.

1. Who we are

Bet Opening Times (betopeningtimes.co.uk) is operated by G.J.A Tech Ventures Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 08632175.

G.J.A Tech Ventures Limited is the controller of your personal data, which means we decide how and why it is used. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean G.J.A Tech Ventures Limited. This policy covers every section of the site, including opening times for Betfred, Coral and Ladbrokes, odds comparison and alerts, and free bet offers.

We handle personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.

2. We are not a bookmaker

Bet Opening Times is an independent information and comparison website. We do not take bets, and we are not owned, operated or endorsed by Betfred, Coral, Ladbrokes or any other operator.

Some links on this site take you to bookmakers’ websites. If you open an account, deposit, place a bet or share information with a bookmaker, that bookmaker is responsible for your data under its own privacy policy. We never see your betting account details, payment details or betting activity.

3. The information we collect

We collect as little as we can. Most people can use the whole site without giving us any personal details at all.

Information you give us

  • Contact enquiries: your name, email address and anything you write when you use our contact form or email us.
  • Postcode and place searches: any postcode, town or area you type in to find nearby betting shops.

Information collected automatically

When you visit, our servers and, with your consent, our analytics tools may record:

  • your IP address and an approximate location worked out from it, at town or region level
  • your device type, operating system and browser
  • the pages you visit, how long you stay and the links you click, including links to bookmakers
  • the website that referred you, and the date and time of your visit
  • cookie identifiers, as described in section 8

Your device location

Buttons such as “Use my current location” ask your browser for your location, and your browser asks you for permission first. If you agree, your location is used inside your browser to find nearby shops and to start directions from where you are. It is not sent to us and we do not store it.

If you then press a Google Maps button, the link passes your starting point to Google so it can plot the route. From that point Google handles the data under its own privacy policy.

Please don’t send us sensitive information. We do not ask for health details, financial details or anything about criminal convictions, and we do not collect payment card details.

4. How we use your information and our lawful basis

5. Under 18s and safer gambling

This website is only for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Advertising and affiliate disclosure. Bet Opening Times is funded by affiliate advertising. We earn commission from Betfred and from other bookmakers licensed by the Gambling Commission when readers open an account or place a bet through links on this site. Those commercial arrangements have no bearing on the opening times we publish, on which branches appear on a page, or on the order they appear in. Where a link earns us commission it is marked as advertising.

Independence. Bet Opening Times is not owned, operated or endorsed by Betfred, Coral, Ladbrokes or their operators, and does not speak on their behalf. We are a commercial partner through affiliate advertising only.
