Slough’s Betfred shops are unusually consistent: eight of the nine close at the same time every day of the week, Sunday included. Six trade until 22:00 and two — Bradford Road on the Trading Estate and Burnham Lane — until 20:30. The one exception is 272 High Street in Langley, which runs until 22:00 Monday to Saturday but closes at 18:00 on a Sunday.

Both run 08:00 to 22:00 Monday to Saturday and 09:00 to 22:00 on a Sunday, so the town centre has a Betfred open until 22:00 every night. Mackenzie Street is the nearest to Slough station. Distances are straight-line estimates from Queensmere. Street View opens at the shop’s position, so you may need to turn the view to face the shopfront.

Betfred Slough bank holiday opening times

Betting shops in England can trade on every bank holiday bar one. Premises licences issued under the Gambling Act 2005 carry a condition that gambling facilities cannot be provided on Christmas Day, so all nine Slough branches close on 25 December by law rather than by choice.

On the other bank holidays, Slough branches usually run either their normal times for that day of the week or a slightly shorter day. Betfred has in past years announced a chain-wide 20:00 close on bank holiday Mondays, which would take up to two hours off the Slough branches. Dates in the tables below update automatically.

Easter opening times

Betting shops have been allowed to open on Good Friday since the Gambling Act 2005 came into force, and there is no Easter Sunday restriction in Great Britain. Across the Easter weekend, expect each Slough branch to follow its usual pattern for that day.

Easter moves each year. Dates shown are the next Easter weekend.

May and August bank holidays

The early May, spring and summer bank holidays all fall on a Monday. Check the window card or the Betfred shop finder the week before; a 20:00 bank holiday close would take up to two hours off the Slough branches.

All three fall on a Monday, so the dates shift each year.

Christmas and New Year opening times

The festive fortnight is the only stretch of the year when Slough times move far from the weekly pattern. Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve normally finish early, Boxing Day — the biggest racing day of the winter — runs close to normal, and New Year’s Day starts later.

The Christmas Day closure is a licence condition under the Gambling Act 2005. Next dates update automatically.

Each Slough branch sets its own festive times and usually posts them in the window from mid-December. The live countdowns on this page follow the standard weekly times and the Christmas Day closure only, so check the window card before travelling on 24, 26 or 31 December or 1 January.

How the live opening times work

Everything live on this page reads the clock in Slough (UK time), not the clock on your device, and compares it against each shop’s published times. That keeps the status right even if you are checking from abroad.

The panel at the top

The top panel covers the two town-centre branches, on Mackenzie Street and the High Street. It tells you how many are open right now and how long until they close. The other seven have their own live rows in the sections below.

The shop rows

Open now means the shop is inside its published times and the countdown shows how long is left. Closed shows when it opens next. Counters stop taking cash bets a few minutes before closing so staff can settle slips, so if you are collecting winnings, aim to arrive ten minutes before the time shown.

Map, directions and Street View

Each row has three buttons. Map drops a pin on the shop, Directions plans a route from wherever you are, and Street View shows the street around the shop so you can spot the frontage before you set off. Tap “Use my current location” and the lists re-order themselves so the closest shop is always at the top, and the directions button points to the nearest of all nine Slough branches.

Betfred across the rest of Slough

Seven more branches serve the rest of Slough: three around Farnham Road and the Trading Estate, two in Langley, and one each on Wexham Road and Burnham Lane.

Directions work without this. Sharing your location re-orders every list nearest-first.

Bradford Road, on the Trading Estate, keeps shorter hours, as does Burnham Lane in Cippenham. In Langley, Parlaunt Road and 272 High Street each have a Coral close by.

Betfred near Slough

All nine Betfreds on this page are inside Slough Borough, including the two in Langley.

The licensing register lists seven Betfred premises in Slough. The directory we use adds two more, 264 High Street and 244 Farnham Road, which is why this page has nine. An older licensing record also lists a Betfred at 107–109 High Street, which does not appear in current listings.

All nine branches are licensed by Slough Borough Council. If you are heading for Burnham, Stoke Poges or Colnbrook rather than Slough itself, use the location button above: the directions button always routes to the nearest of the nine.

Other bookmakers in Slough

Betfred has more shops in Slough than any other bookmaker, with nine to Coral’s eight.

Coral has eight shops in Slough, including two in Langley on Parlaunt Road and the High Street, plus Mirador Crescent, Stoke Road and Lower Cippenham Lane. Ladbrokes has five, among them 115 and 252 High Street, 224 Farnham Road and Bath Road in Cippenham. William Hill has four, including 127 High Street, Park Street and 274 Farnham Road, and Paddy Power one, at 117 High Street.

We are still confirming full weekly times branch by branch for the non-Betfred shops in Slough, so they are not listed with live status on this page yet. Every bookmaker in the town is closed on Christmas Day by law.

For visitors, 9 Mackenzie Street is the one to know: a few minutes from Slough station, beside Queensmere, and open until 22:00 every day of the week.
