Wembley’s two Betfreds keep identical hours: 08:00 to 22:00 Monday to Saturday and 09:00 to 22:00 on a Sunday, with a 22:00 close on all seven days. They are about three-quarters of a mile apart, so the nearer one is always the right one. Wembley has seventeen other betting shops, and one of them, a Jennings on the High Road, stays open until 23:45.

Betfred on the High Road

The High Road branch, at number 458, near Wembley Central. The row shows today’s times, whether the shop is open now and how long until it closes, with buttons for the map pin, a route from where you are and Street View of the shopfront.

Directions work without this. Sharing your location re-orders the list nearest-first.

458 High Road runs 08:00 to 22:00 Monday to Saturday and 09:00 to 22:00 on a Sunday. The High Road is busy with bookmakers: a Jennings at 429 is listed until 23:45, a Paddy Power at 389 matches the Betfred at 22:00, and a Coral at 576–582 opens at 07:00. Distances are straight-line estimates from the High Road. Street View opens at the shop’s position, so you may need to turn the view to face the shopfront.

Both open at 08:00 Monday to Saturday and at 09:00 on a Sunday.

Open latest

Both close at 22:00, every day of the week.

Betfred is neither first nor last here: the Coral at 576–582 High Road opens an hour earlier, at 07:00, and the Jennings at 429 closes nearly two hours later, at 23:45. Both Betfreds run 08:00 to 22:00, in the middle of the field.

Betfred Wembley bank holiday opening times

Betting shops in England can trade on every bank holiday bar one. Premises licences issued under the Gambling Act 2005 carry a condition that gambling facilities cannot be provided on Christmas Day, so both Wembley branches close on 25 December by law rather than by choice.

On the other bank holidays, Wembley branches usually run either their normal times for that day of the week or a slightly shorter day. Betfred has in past years announced a chain-wide 20:00 close on bank holiday Mondays, which would take two hours off both Wembley shops. Dates in the tables below update automatically.

Easter opening times

Betting shops have been allowed to open on Good Friday since the Gambling Act 2005 came into force, and there is no Easter Sunday restriction in Great Britain. Across the Easter weekend, expect both Wembley branches to follow their usual pattern for that day.

Easter moves each year. Dates shown are the next Easter weekend.

May and August bank holidays

The early May, spring and summer bank holidays all fall on a Monday. Check the window card or the Betfred shop finder the week before; a 20:00 close would take two hours off both Wembley shops.

All three fall on a Monday, so the dates shift each year.

Christmas and New Year opening times

The festive fortnight is the only stretch of the year when Wembley times move far from the weekly pattern. Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve normally finish early, Boxing Day — the biggest racing day of the winter — runs close to normal, and New Year’s Day starts later.

The Christmas Day closure is a licence condition under the Gambling Act 2005. Next dates update automatically.

Each Wembley branch sets its own festive times and usually posts them in the window from mid-December. The dates in these tables update automatically each year.

How the live opening times work

Everything live on this page reads the clock in Wembley (UK time), not the clock on your device, and compares it against each shop’s published times. That keeps the status right even if you are checking from abroad.

The panel at the top

The top panel covers the High Road branch. It tells you whether it is open right now and how long until it closes. Because both shops keep the same hours, the Wembley Park Drive row below will always show the same times.

The shop rows

Open now means the shop is inside its published times and the countdown shows how long is left. Closed shows when it opens next. Counters stop taking cash bets a few minutes before closing so staff can settle slips, so if you are collecting winnings, aim to arrive ten minutes before the time shown.

Map, directions and Street View

Each row has three buttons. Map drops a pin on the shop, Directions plans a route from wherever you are, and Street View shows the street around the shop so you can spot the frontage before you set off. Tap “Use my current location” and both lists re-order themselves, and the directions button points to whichever of the two branches is closer to you.

Betfred on Wembley Park Drive

The second branch is at 147 Wembley Park Drive, about three-quarters of a mile north-east of the High Road shop and the closer of the two to Wembley Park station and the stadium. It publishes full weekly times, so its live status is as exact as the High Road’s.

Directions work without this. Sharing your location re-orders every list nearest-first.

Wembley Park Drive keeps exactly the same hours as the High Road shop: 08:00 to 22:00 Monday to Saturday and 09:00 to 22:00 on a Sunday. It is the one to know for an event at the stadium or the arena, with a Coral on Empire Way and two more shops on Bridge Road nearby, all also closing at 22:00.

Betfred near Wembley

The register lists a third Wembley shop that current listings do not.

The licensing register carries 775 Harrow Road, HA0 2LW, as well as the two shops on this page. It is about a mile from the High Road branch, towards Alperton and Sudbury at the other end of the Wembley post town, and it does not appear in current shop listings, so we cannot show live times for it. The two HA9 shops are the ones to rely on.

Both shops are licensed by the London Borough of Brent. Harrow, Greenford, Edgware and Stanmore have their own betting shops under their own post towns; Harrow alone has thirty-six, with eight Betfreds on its own page.

Other bookmakers in Wembley

Wembley has six other betting shops between five bookmakers.

Paddy Power and William Hill have five shops each, Coral four, Ladbrokes two and Jennings one: seventeen against Betfred’s two, the most lopsided split on this site. The Jennings at 429 High Road is the standout, listed until 23:45; the Coral at 576–582 High Road opens earliest at 07:00.

We are still confirming full weekly times branch by branch for the non-Betfred shops in Wembley, so they are not listed with live status on this page yet. Every bookmaker in the town is closed on Christmas Day by law.

Betfred began in Salford in 1967, when brothers Fred and Peter Done opened their first betting shop, and it runs its estate from Birchwood in Warrington, about 180 miles north-west. Wembley has two branches, both open until 22:00 every day.

For visitors heading to the stadium or the arena, 147 Wembley Park Drive is the closer, a few minutes from Wembley Park station. 458 High Road is nearer Wembley Central. Both open at 08:00 Monday to Saturday, 09:00 on a Sunday, and close at 22:00 every day.

Frequently asked questions

How many Betfred shops are there in Wembley?
Two in current listings, both licensed by the London Borough of Brent: 458 High Road and 147 Wembley Park Drive, about three-quarters of a mile apart. The licensing register adds 775 Harrow Road, towards Alperton, which does not appear in current listings.
What time does Betfred open in Wembley?
08:00 Monday to Saturday and 09:00 on a Sunday, at both shops.
What time does Betfred close in Wembley?
22:00, every day of the week, at both shops.
Do the two Wembley Betfreds keep the same hours?
Yes, exactly the same: 08:00 to 22:00 Monday to Saturday and 09:00 to 22:00 on a Sunday. Whichever is nearer is the one to head for.
Is Betfred open on Christmas Day?
No. Every betting shop in Great Britain is closed on Christmas Day. It is a condition attached to premises licences under the Gambling Act 2005, not a company decision.
Are Betfred shops in Wembley open on bank holidays?
Yes. Good Friday, Easter Monday and the May and August bank holidays are all trading days, usually on normal or slightly shortened hours. Betfred’s own shop notices have stated that all its shops close at 20:00 on bank holiday Mondays, which would take two hours off both Wembley shops. Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve normally close early, and New Year’s Day opens later.
Which betting shop in Wembley is open the latest?
Not a Betfred. A Jennings at 429 High Road, over the road from the Betfred at 458, is listed until 23:45, nearly two hours later than any Betfred in the town. A Coral at 576–582 High Road opens at 07:00, the earliest a betting shop may legally open, an hour before the Betfreds.
Which Betfred is nearest Wembley Stadium and Wembley Park station?
147 Wembley Park Drive is the closer to Wembley Park station and the stadium; 458 High Road is nearer Wembley Central. Both close at 22:00 every day, so either covers an evening event, though the Jennings on the High Road runs later.
How many other bookmakers are there in Wembley?
Seventeen: five Paddy Power, five William Hill, four Coral, two Ladbrokes and one Jennings. That is the largest rival estate against the smallest Betfred presence of any town on this site.
How do I find the nearest Betfred to me in Wembley?
Tap “Use my current location”. Both lists on this page then re-order nearest-first, and the directions button at the top routes you to the closer of the two shops.
